I'm Annie and I am an award winning sugarcraft and wedding cake designer from Beverley, East Yorkshire.
I have been baking for around 5 years now and I delved into the wonderful world of teaching around 2 years ago.
Having initially started off as a hobby baker just dibbling with a bit of sugarpaste every now and then, it quickly became clear to me that my passion was for all things sugar floristry. I quickly became known as the 'expert' in my local area for beautiful sugar flower adorned cakes until the popularity and demand for my work allowed me to niche down my business and specialise primarily in luxury floral wedding cakes.
I have won international awards and had my work published in numerous articles and magazines including tutorials in Cake Masters Magazine and soon to be Saracino - we love pastry magazine.
Once I had established myself within my wedding cake business, I decided I wanted to share my knowledge and passion with others who may want to venture into the world of sugarcraft.
I started my academy Annie Elizabeth Cake Academy back in 2020 and this has gradually gained momentum. The academy is a free community group made up of hundreds of professional and hobby bakers from all over the world who I have had the pleasure of teaching and assisting on their cake journey so far!
New for 2022, Floral and Flour is my exclusive online school for all things sugar flowers! I will be releasing brand new stand alone flower classes complete with pre-recorded content and comprehensive written notes, instructions and helpful resources.
